David Meinzer served as Venerable Master of the Knights of St. Andrew, and is active on the 13°,  17° and 29 Degree teams.

Venerable Master, Omaha Consistory

A fifth generation native Nebraskan, David Meinzer was born and raised in Falls City and is the second of three sons to Byron & Shirley Meinzer. A 1984 graduate of University of Nebraska at Lincoln, David received his B.S. degree in Business Administration. He began sculpting his Masonic Ashler when he was raised as a Master Mason in George W. Lininger Lodge #268 through a one-day conferral in 2010, and served as Worshipful Master of the Lodge in 2017.  

He joined the Scottish Rite in November 2010 and became a life member in 2011. David completed the Scottish Rite Ritual and History Course of the Master Craftsman program in 2013. He represented the Omaha Valley at the Scottish Rite Fellows Program during the 2014 fellows conference at the House of the Temple in Washington D.C.  He currently serves on various committees including the Scottish Rite Foundation of Omaha. Century Club, Ethics Committee and organizes the Knights of St. Andrew "Chain Gang," which sponsors a section of Highway 36 for the Scottish Rite by cleaning up trash with the KSA.

In 2015 he served as Chairman of our major fundraising event, The Friends of Scottish Rite Dinner & Auction, which raised over $40,000. David served as Flight Commander in 2015 for the Royal Order of the Ducks. He is also a member of Tangier Shrine.

David and his wife Amy live in Omaha.
