Mission Statement
The Scottish Rite Foundation of Omaha is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 foundation that was founded in 1972 with the mission of helping young people to talk who could not speak, to write who are not literate and to assist them in becoming part of the community. This is done through the RiteCare Language Disorder program at Munroe-Meyer Institute. Further, the Foundation endeavors to provide scholarships to assist in educating those who will provide service through leadership for the future.  The Foundation plans to provide financial assistance to implement in local school districts an ethics program to assist the students in dealing with peers presently at school and later in business and personal life. Additionally, the foundation will provide, when determined appropriate, financial assistance to the Masonic family and civic organizations. Provide support to local school districts for an ethics program.

Charities the Foundation annually supports include:

  • Masonic-Eastern Star Home for Children – Fremont
  • Masonic Home - Plattsmouth
  • Nebraska Masonic Youth Foundation
    • DeMolay, Jobs Daughters, Rainbow
  • Omaha Home for Boys
  • American Legion Boys State
  • Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership
  • Scottish Rite Foundation of Nebraska
    • Reimbursement for Omaha Valley’s share of RiteCare Clinicians salary and fringe benefits

If you would like to help support the charities listed above you can call 402-342-1300.

Scottish Rite Foundation of Omaha annual fundraisers

The Scottish Rite Foundation of Omaha has several fundraising projects during the year.  They are listed below

  • Century Club has been the mainstay for funds to the Foundation.  Many of our membership pledge to donate $100 per year for at least 10 years.  Many have continued this practice which makes the Century Club so successful.  Each year a dinner is held to honor these men that have contributed for so many years.

  • Golf Outing started 14 year ago as a social event with the “extra” money going to the Foundation.  Today it has grown into a viable source of annual income to the Foundation.  Men and women can play a Texas scramble and return to the Scottish Rite Masonic Center to socialize and enjoy a prime rib dinner prepared by our own Culinary Master volunteers.

  • WalkRite for RiteCare event to done in cooperation with families that have children that have been to the Omaha RiteCare clinic for language help.  This event is held at Zorinsky Park where groups and individuals walk for RiteCare and have a picnic to follow.  There is no registration fee to walk and participate, but those who raise $100 get a WalkRite t-shirt, $250 get a WalkRite t-shirt and a RiteCare water bottle, and $500 get a WalkRite t-shirt, a RiteCare water bottle, and a RiteCare tote bag. All proceeds left to go the Foundation. Visit http://www.walk-rite.org to learn more about RiteCare or visit http://walkrite.kintera.org/omaha2011 to donate to WalkRite, create and manage your team, and recruit team members. E-mail Micah Evans for more information or sponsorship opportunities.

  • Friends of Scottish Rite Dinner/Auction is an event where donations are made and auction items provided for a silent auction, a very nice dinner followed by a live auction.  This event is done in partnership with the Supreme Council with proceeds divided between the Supreme Council Preservation Foundation and the Scottish Rite Foundation of Omaha.  In the first two years over $44.000.00 was raised with over $20,000 going back to the two Foundations. Visit http://www.friendsofscottishrite.org for more information or e-mail Micah at micah@scottishriteomaha.org for information or sponsorship opportunities.

  • Book Sale was started in 2009 for Scottish Rite members and their spouses to donate and purchase books.  The first day is dedicated to members and spouses only and the next three days open to the public.  The first sale was successful and the book sale continues to grow. Call the Scottish Rite at (402) 342-1300 for more information or to donate your new and used books. Proceeds raised support the RiteCare Speech and Language Clinics.
