Our 2017 Friend of Scottish Rite Honoree
We are particularly honored to recognize Dr. Mirnics as our 2019 Honoree. Karoly is a researcher, educator, thought leader and community activist. His research laboratory is actively pursuing projects that analyze disturbances across human brain diseases, particularly focusing on intellectual and developmental disabilities and psychiatric disorders. He has received multiple local, national and international accolades for his work in this arena.
Thanks to the dedication Dr. Mirnics has brought to serving Nebraskans with developmental disabilities, organizations like the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute continue to expand their mission and presence, serving more children throughout Nebraska. At present, Dr. Mirnics is leading a $90 million dollar campaign to move the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute to a new, modern building on the Ak-Sar-Ben campus which will expand their ability to serve all people with disabilities.
Please visit our Friends of Scottish Rite Dinner & Auction website for more details about the evening as they become available, including the menu, silent and live auction items, and ways to support the evening.
