Garland Jarmon & Rose Soll Wedding & Reception
As the historic House of the Temple nears it's 100th anniversary, the Grand Commander and the Supreme Council share the vision of renovating the century-old building as a world-class facility for meetings, library and research, and museum facilities. To help raise money for this massive project, the House of the Temple is hosting a web-a-thon, strreamed live from www.scottishriteomaha.org. Hosted by Ill. Brother Norm Crosby, the web-a-thon will feature guests, including Ernest Borgnine, Brad Paisley, Arturro deHoyas, Brent Morris, and more. Money raised is tax-deductible and will support the House of the Temple Preservation Fund and will be split with the Scottish Rite Foundation of Omaha.
The web-a-thon begins at 5:00 at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in the first floor dining room with cocktails, followed by hors d'oeuvres and the web-a-thon at 6:00. There is no cost to come, but Scottish Rite members are asked to make a contribution so that we can say that we've had 100% participation. This is a great event to bring a prospective Mason to show off our beautiful building and talk about the benefits of Freemasonry.

Since 1851 Scottish Rite has been a force in the Nebraska Masonic World. Although records show that when Albert Pike, 33°, Grand Commander, visited Omaha he stated he wasn’t sure the Valley would ever become very strong. Leadership since that time has proven him wrong.
There was a strong Masonic movement in Omaha in the early 1900’s when the Masonic Building at 19th and Douglas, the Scottish Rite Masonic Center (SRMC) were built, Job’s Daughters, Omaha Masonic Home for Boys (now Omaha Home for Boys) and Rainbow International were established here in Omaha. Even the second Chapter of DeMolay (now oldest) was charted on the second floor of the SRMC in that time frame.

Please take time to tour our website and if you pass our door in downtown Omaha, please stop by to tour our building or just to say hello. We are open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. |
Welcome to the Omaha Valley of Scottish Rite website. Since the mid 1800’s we have served as one of the Cornerstones of Freemasonry in Nebraska. The Scottish Rite Masonic Center is located at 20th and Douglas Street in Omaha, Nebraska. This neo-classical building is the pillar of Masonry in downtown Omaha.
Our motto, "To do that which is right to do," Morality – Education –Charity, is the philosophy that helps us set our objectives. Our goals are to educate our members in the Masonic ideals, to help children communicate through our RiteCare™ Language Disorder Clinic, help educate our future leaders with scholarships to University of Nebraska at Omaha and the support of other Masonic Organizations.
