On Thursday, April 21ST, the Alliance and Omaha's Scottish Rite produced their 4th annual "Ethics on Trial" at the Scottish Rite theater. The multi-media production uses a mock-trial format and audience participation to explore ethical issues such as: a wrong-vs-wrong ethical choice, stem cell donation, media ethics, and, this year, a corporate code of ethics policy on employee political activity.

February is the month of love. Scottish Rite Masons demonstrated our love for our ladies with wonderful entertainment from Omaha's own Vintage Vocalist Michael Walker, who takes us back to a time when the Rat Pack ruled Las Vegas and crooning was cool. Afterward, Ian Barchus presented the DeMolay flower speech, which reminded us of the love and devotion each person should have for his lady. . .

Lincoln Scottish Rite Hosts Robert Burns Dinner
The Valley of Lincoln hosted the annual Robert Burns Dinner, celebrating Scotland's national poet and Freemason. Seventy-five guests enjoyed bagpipe music, entertainment, a great dinner, and of course, freshly prepared haggis. Additionally, silent auction items raised about $1,000 for the RiteCare Speech and Language Clinic at UNL's Barkley Memorial Center.
Over 250 Attend Curt Edic Retirement Party
The Valley of Omaha celebrated the end of an era with the retirement of Curtis M. Edic, 33°, General Secretary after 16 years. Curt joined the Scottish Rite in 1975, intending to use the Scottish Rite as a springboard to get active in the Shrine. Along the way, he got involved in the Scottish Rite and has participated in one way or another ever since. . .
