GIVE YOUR EVENT A SETTING WORTH REMEMBERING
A successful event is more than a guest list, tables and a meal. The setting helps establish how the occasion feels from the moment guests arrive.
The Scottish Rite Masonic Center offers organizations, families and event planners a distinctive alternative to conventional Omaha event spaces. Historic architecture, elegant reception areas, a grand ballroom and a 400-seat theater create opportunities for events ranging from formal dinners and fundraising galas to milestone celebrations and community gatherings.
Instead of transforming an ordinary room into something memorable, begin with a building that already is.
ONE BUILDING. MANY WAYS TO GATHER.
Different moments of an event call for different kinds of space.
The Scottish Rite offers connected and complementary rooms that allow an evening to unfold naturally—from cocktails and conversation to dinner, presentations, entertainment and dancing.
Depending upon the needs of your event, the building offers:
Grand ballroom and reception areas
Lounge with marble-topped bar and fireplace
Middle Chamber for additional gathering space
400-seat historic auditorium
Lobby and conversation areas
Smaller meeting and hospitality rooms
Serving kitchen and caterer access
Audiovisual and projection capabilities
The ballroom, lounge, Middle Chamber and serving kitchen alone encompass nearly 10,000 square feet and can accommodate events of more than 300 guests.
BUILT FOR THE FLOW OF A GREAT EVENT
The strongest galas and fundraisers rarely happen entirely at the dinner table.
Guests arrive and mingle. A cocktail reception creates energy before dinner. Silent-auction items invite people to explore. A formal program brings everyone together. Entertainment changes the pace. Conversation continues afterward.
The variety of spaces within the Scottish Rite allows planners to create those transitions without sending guests to different venues.
A reception can lead into dinner in the ballroom. A presentation or performance can take place in the auditorium. Lounge and gathering spaces can provide room for conversation before or after the main program.
The building becomes part of the event rather than simply the place where it happens.
GALAS AND FUNDRAISERS WITH A SENSE OF OCCASION
Fundraising events ask guests to do something important: gather around a mission and choose to support it.
The environment should reflect that importance.
The Scottish Rite provides an established backdrop for charity galas, nonprofit fundraisers, benefit dinners, auctions, recognition events and community celebrations. Historic architectural details provide atmosphere without requiring planners to disguise a blank event room with extensive décor.
The adjoining reception spaces also make it possible to accommodate different parts of the evening—from registration and cocktails to dinner, auctions, presentations and entertainment.
CELEBRATIONS BEYOND THE ORDINARY
Not every important gathering is a wedding or corporate meeting.
Anniversaries, milestone birthdays, reunions, awards dinners, cultural celebrations and other private events deserve a setting appropriate to the occasion.
At the Scottish Rite, hosts can choose a formal ballroom experience, incorporate adjoining reception areas, or create an event that uses several areas of the building.
And because so much of the atmosphere comes from the architecture itself, the venue can feel finished before the first centerpiece is placed. Scottish Rite specifically notes that many renters find table decorations are sufficient because the character of the building contributes so much to the event environment.
