The Scottish Rite golf outing began as a fun event for members, with extra money going to RiteCare. Somewhere along the way, it became a fundraiser in its own right, and in 2014, the golf benefit was rebranded the RiteCare Classic. This year, the RiteCare Classic, held on June 21st at Pacific Springs Golf Club, grossed around $17,000 for speech and language services. . .
The 9th annual WalkRite for RiteCare was a wonderful success on June 4th. The weather was a warm 94°, but no uncomfortably humid, as we welcomed 150 RiteCare families, the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute staff and faculty, and Scottish Rite Masons and their families to Lake Zorinsky’s picnic pavilion for the Walk. . .
The Valley of Omaha joined Scottish Rite Masons around the nation for the 5th annual Celebrating the Craft fundraiser, supporting the local Valley Foundation and RiteCare Speech and Language services as well as the House of the Temple’s plans for a world-class Masonic museum and meeting space in our nation’s capital. This year, TJ Brumfield, 32° - himself a RiteCare father – came in full costume as the Cat in the Hat, reading stories to the kids followed by a great pasta dinner made by our own Culinary Masters and the Celebrating the Craft web-a-thon. . .
