Joseph was born in 1976 in Lincoln, NE. His family later moved to East Central Nebraska where he graduated from Lakeview High School in Columbus where he met Elizabeth, his wife. They moved to Omaha and both attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where Joseph earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and pursued Graduate Studies in Classical History with a minor in Religious Studies, including extracurricular studies in Classical Latin and Koine Greek. Joseph later retuned to UNO to complete a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He is currently employed as an Onboarding Underwriter at PayPal and part time Math Teacher at Blackburn Alternative High School for Omaha Public Schools.
Masonic Background
Joseph’s journey in Masonry began in 2006 when he attended the October One-Day class. He joined the York Rite in March 2007 and the Shrine later that summer. In 2009, he extended his Masonic journey to include the Scottish Rite in the Spring Class of that year, and the Order of the Eastern Star in November. He is also a member of several invitational bodies of York Rite, the SRICF, and Aksarben Grotto.

And many other supporting offices through the years. He is also (until April) serving as Grand Commander of Knights Templar of Nebraska as well as the other Grand bodies of the York Rite in Nebraska. In the past, he has also served the Grand Commandery of Iowa as a supporting officer.
In addition to these offices, he has continually supported both the York and Scottish Rite as a ritualist in the degrees and has an active role in the Rose Croix degrees (15th and 18th) since joining the respective organizations.
